Who we are
Dr Georgie Evans
Owner/Podiatrist
Dr. Georgie Evans was born and raised in the south of England. She graduated from the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Podiatry, following which she worked for the National Health Service in Oxfordshire as a Musculoskeletal Specialist Podiatrist.
In October 2014, Dr. Evans moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan to work for an existing podiatry clinic. When the office closed she opened up Sole Mates Podiatry in 2017. Alongside working in the clinic, Dr Evans provides home-visit podiatry in Long Term Care facilities and patients’ homes. She also provides care in Regina. In conjunction with her work, Dr. Evans is passionate about research and has had a number of papers published in medical journals. She is also on the Council of the Saskatchewan College of Podiatrists, the regulatory body for the profession in the province.
Outside of podiatry, Dr. Evans can be found near anything with a motor, which sees her snowmobiling in the prairies and mountains in the winter; mudding on quads and side-by-sides in the summer, or driving and working on one of her classic cars.
She is also an animal nut and has fostered for dog rescues in the past. She lives on an acreage north of Regina with her spouse and their three dogs, four cats and four highland and longhorn cattle.
